Welcome! Can someone throw me a towel? Feeling a little naked here…

…you should get naked, too. Let’s be naked together.

34. Hike

Hikes are more fun with family and friends, but had the chance to go on a solo hike this past weekend. I highly recommend both options.

Setting off from the trail head
destination unknown
Trees swaying in silence
But not walking alone
Looking at tree roots
listening to a stream
A gentle rain falls
blocking sunbeams

Taking an unexpected path
getting lost in the trees
A comfortable silence
A gentle cool breeze
Going deep into the woods
Going deeper into thought
Talking to ancestors
untying the knot

Legs are getting sore
the temperature warm
Sitting on a rock
a soul platform
Taking a sip of water
The sweetness on my tongue
Birds communicating in trees
A song has been sung

Feet getting heavy
Tripping on rocks
Tripping on thoughts
I love these walks
Paths wind on and on
Hoping this never ends
I keep on going
As the pathway bends

You painted the picture so well with your verses. That’s not easy, but you did it. Made me wish I was there with you to hold your hand along the way. But you took me there anyway.
